JUST FRIENDS TO HELP SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK OF OC & Z’TEJAS TO TAKE
A “BITE OUT OF HUNGER”
(Members Invited To Support Month-Long Fundraising Campaign Benefiting Region’s Hungry)

Each month, more than 400,000 underprivileged men, women and children in Orange County go hungry because they cannot afford to eat.  In an effort to generate much-needed funds to help “take a bite out of hunger,” Just Friends is helping Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill raise funds for Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County (SHFBOC) by holding a special month-long fundraiser benefiting the region’s hungry in which 50 percent the proceeds from the sale of the restaurant’s newly introduced grilled green chile pork enchilada entrée ($9.95) will be donated to the nonprofit.

Just Friends members are encouraged to visit the restaurant during the promotion (April 1 – May 1) and order the special entrée.  In addition, members will be invited to a special-mid-promotion party hosted by Executive Chef Danny Stevens, who will offer samples of the new menu item and a no-host bar.  The festivities for Just Friends will take place on Wednesday, April 19 from 5 p.m.  to 7:30 p.m.   Z’Tejas is located at South Coast Plaza (3333 S.  “The Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County has long served as an invaluable resource for those in our community who, oftentimes due to circumstances beyond their control, go hungry because they cannot afford to eat,” said Stevens, who revealed that the recipe for the grilled green chile pork enchilada entrée will be available on the Z’Tejas Web site so the public may try to recreate the dish at home.  “I am delighted that Just Friends is joining us in helping the SHFBOC and believe that with the public’s support, we can help make a difference in ‘taking a bite out of hunger’ in Orange County.”
